Science verses economics

When scientists start publishing facts about global warming or other important issues is it right for governments to start contradicting this information purely on the grounds of economic considerations. If the world institutions are stoic in their belief that change would mean total restructuring of the global monetary policy then how can change ever happen. Throughout history the ruling parties of any society have always believed that the general public are either too ignorant to understand or have no reason to know things that might cause panic. In the medieval times it was always thought that the church were the ones to teach the people what to believe and think and it was thought unacceptable for the people to read the scriptures and form their own conclusions. When the Canterbury Tales was first published in english it was viewed by the church as the beginning of the end, as it would soon be possible for the general public to find out many things and interpret them accordingly.

Though many centuries have passed since those unenlightened times the view of the powers that be have not progressed. If it is necessary for all of us to change our way of life, to make sure that our children and their children have a world to live in, then we need to stop thinking of the short term financial gains and look at the bigger picture. If, lets say for example, that you are driving your car somewhere and the oil light starts flashing. Most people would stop, understanding that if they carry on they could ruin the engine. By stopping and refilling the oil you could evert the engine from being damaged beyond repair and continue on your journey. If your view was that you would just carry on and try to get a bit closer to your destination to save you a bit of time then you would end up in a far worse situation. Most people would know this and the problem would be ironed out.

Why is it then that governments know we are changing the worlds climate and eco systems and choose to try to divert attention merely to milk the situation in the present and worry about the future when it will be too late to do anything about. Our children know this and yet many try to re educate them to their way of thinking.

Teach our children not to make the same mistakes we have done and let them dictate to us about their future, not ours.

Well, here we go again. A child wants to see their father but is being used by the mother to cause pain and revenge on the father. Child abuse is wrong in whatever form it takes. If, lets say, that a child is abused physically, then the authorities go all out to catch the culprits and see that justice is done. Whereas if a child is abused mentally by their mother, the powers that be barely tremble. In the end the only people who suffer are the children. Surely this must be wrong. The story has been told many times before and now is the time for change.

The mothers that use their own children as pawns should be held accountable for their actions as in any other abuse case and charged under 'Human Rights Violations'. The long term mental problems that can occur with children used like this, causes problems throughout the rest of their lives which perpetuates the problem.

The other relevant fact is that the types of women who use this tactic nearly always deny that they are doing this. Or even, as in many cases, insist that they are acting in the child's best interest. How coldly inflicting emotional damage and pain is in the child's best interest escapes me.

All fathers who have experienced this phenomena  have got to work together to get the law changed. If the European courts deal with Human Rights issues, then we as a collective movement should lobby to make our voices heard.

It does still fill my head with incomprehension how a mother could knowingly hurt their own child just to seek revenge and is a heinous crime. All Human Rights issues should be dealt with and this surely is the time to get this continued abuse stopped, once and for all. Human rights abuse, and this is basically what it amounts to, should not be selective, but should cover all aspects, and finally hold those responsible of this behavior to account.

We have to act now if we really want change otherwise we are not fulfilling our roll as compassionate human beings.
